Summer Open House
July 12, 2008
Digital Photos by Pete Blaess

An extra car was added to the train to handle the large number of people that would
converge upon us all at once.
Even with the extra seats it still took 3 moves to get everyone down to the car shop.

The sun was putting on a show of its own.
At this point I started shooting video so there is a lapse in my still photo's.

About an hour later, after all our guests had left, I shot this as our equipment was
being moved back into the engine house for safe storage.

9 pm exactly.
All the equipment was put away, signs taken down, tent stored and the buildings were
secured. Now the volunteers (some who had been working for more than 12 hours to make
this day a success) took brief respite in the air conditioned library room. It didn't
smell too good in there right about then, this is sweat equity at its best.

That's it for tonight.
Take care,
Pete
